Santa Ponsa (Santa Ponça in Spanish) should be familiar to almost everyone. Thanks to the TV show "Goodbye Deutschland! Die Auswanderer", this place on Mallorca quickly became famous. Daniela Katzenberger first opened her café here, followed later by Jürgen Drews. Before that, Santa Ponsa long had a reputation for being similar to Magaluf and Palmanova, and is only around 20 kilometers from the island's capital Palma. More and more Germans are choosing the town of 11,000 inhabitants as a travel destination. Many restaurants and bars cater to German and English visitors. Life in Santa Ponsa takes place along the beach promenade, which attracts visitors with its typical stores, bars, bistros and restaurants.
