At first glance, Santa Ponsa - or "Santa Ponça" - is little more than a typical family holiday resort by the sea. But on closer inspection, this "grab bag" harbours a wealth of natural treasures and historic buildings. It is also home to some of Mallorca's most luxurious properties. The town centre boasts a magnificent backdrop of mountains and forests and the extensive outskirts of the town are home to several first-class golf resorts. Many owners of superyachts, which are moored next door in Port Adriano, also reside here.
Located in Mallorca's south-west, Santa Ponsa has two large sandy beaches: the 560 metre long Playa de Santa Ponsa, known as "the big beach", and the smaller bay Caló d'en Pallisser, which locals call "Playa pequeña" or "little beach". The seaside resort is equipped with everything you need for a typical family summer holiday with sea, sand and sun, and offers much more besides.
