Location:
Llucmajor is the largest municipality on the island and offers numerous options for all tastes to discover Mallorca little by little. Its advantages include its favourable location close to the airport and good connections to the city of Palma.

Llucmajor has a rich history and is home to some of the most important archaeological sites in the western Mediterranean. These include the settlement of Capocorb Vell, one of the first to be explored and one of the largest on the island. According to research, it already existed in the Bronze Age and thanks to archaeological excavations, 5 talayots and 28 dwellings have been preserved to this day.

Lucmajor flourished thanks to agriculture, livestock farming, the shoe industry and the production of handicrafts made of wood, stone and iron, for which the town is still a point of reference on the island today. Liqueurs (such as Herbes de Mallorca) and cured meats such as sobrasada are also currently produced here.

The municipality also has 47 kilometres of coastline, although the main town is located inland. Nevertheless, you will find white sandy beaches and turquoise-coloured water nearby, where you can enjoy the peace and quiet. Water sports enthusiasts will get their money's worth in Llucmajor, as the local waters are ideal for sailing, diving and snorkelling.
