Life at Playa de Palma
The palm tree-lined area with a well-developed beach promenade of around 6 kilometers not only offers many tourists a relaxing vacation destination. In fact, this region is becoming increasingly popular with people from many nations who have decided to buy an apartment or a house in Mallorca. Not least because of its proximity to the airport and the island's capital.
Playa de Palma offers something for everyone: water sports in all variations, upscale gastronomy, 5-star hotels and a party mile with Mega Park and Bierkönig. It also has a well-developed infrastructure.
Playa de Palma stretches from Can Pastilla to S'Arenal and is divided into 15 beach sections, the Balnearios 1-15. Those who prefer the quieter life should avoid sections 5-7, which are colloquially known as "Ballermann" by mainly German tourists. This is where the action is in summer, much to the chagrin of all residents.
